Asian Stocks Struggle for Directions as Investors Monitor Fed’s 2-Day Meeting

Stocks in Asia were fluctuating on Wednesday ahead of economic data including industrial production and retail sales for May in China and the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision.
As of 9:27 local time in Thailand, Nikkei dropped 0.26%, SSEC dipped 0.06%, HSI fell 0.11%, ASX 200 increased 0.32% and Kospi advanced 0.46%.
Yesterday, SET Index closed at 1,622.31 points, decreased 10.75 points or 0.6% with a trading value of 90 billion baht.
This morning, Japan’s export for May rose 49.6%, but missed expectations of 51.3%.
China is expected to report to announce economic data, including industrial production and retail sales for May later this afternoon, while the U.S. Fed will end their two-day meeting later today as investors watch for signals on inflation rate and policy rate.
