STPI Expands the Business into Hemp Productions in a Diversifying Moves
STPI entered into hemp-related business to expand the investment horizon and diversifying operational risks.
STP&I Public Company Limited (STPI) has announced that on 10 June 2021, the Board of Directors’ Meeting approved the principle of the hemp business plan and approved subsidiary establishment of a company to support such business operations.
The company established a new wholly-owned subsidiary on 22 June 2021 with a starting registered capital of 5 million baht from internally generated cash flow. The objective is to expand the investment horizon to support the growth of the market related to hemp products and diversifying operational risks.
In this regard, the company has set up a work plan to obtain relevant licenses and permits in accordance with the laws, rules and regulations that specified specifically for the operation of the said business.
