UOB Kay Hian Securities stated that the decline in the Thai stock market was due to concerns over stringent measures from the government to curb Covid-19 outbreak that would impact the economy, resulting in a cautious move and taking profit to lower the risks.
Meanwhile, KTBST Securities pointed out that last year, the stock market was weakened prior to the lockdown, but in anticipation that the situation would get better after the lockdown, the market moved up afterward. The securities company expected the market to move in the same direction as last year.
