“No Significant Impact on Operating Results,” Says TOA after the Fire Incident
TOA stated that there was no significant impact from the fire incident, while having insurance coverage for the damage.
TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited (TOA) has announced that on August 19, 2021, around 18.15 hrs, there was a fire incident at the lacquer production line of the company’s Samrong Plant located in Soi Pookmitr, Thang Rodfai Sai Kao Road, Samrong Tai Sub-District, Phra Pradaeng District, Samutprakarn Province.
The fire incident was under control around 19.00 hrs. The cause of the fire incident is still being investigated by a forensic science division. There were two employees who got minor injuries in the accident and were able to return home.
Thus, the lacquer production line’s partial machine, building, semi-finished goods, and electrical system were damaged, which TOA and insurer are in the process of appraising the damage. The company has insurance coverage for the damage to assets and goods. However, the incident did not impact the financial positions and operating results significantly.
