AGE Jumps 7% after the Addition to FTSE Micro Cap and All-Time High Coal Price
The share price of AGE rose nearly 7.5% after the addition to FTSE Micro Cap, while Newcastle coal price continued to reach record high.
The share price of Asia Green Energy Public Company Limited (AGE) made a significant gain as of 12:15 local time in Thailand in the morning session to ฿3.18/share, increased ฿0.22/share or 7.43% with a trading value of 136 million baht. AGE rose as much as 10.14% during the session.
The surge in share price came this morning as the Newcastle coal price continued to reach a record high at US$179/MT. The price has risen 112% this year.
Meanwhile, FTSE Russell added AGE into its FTSE SET Index Micro Cap, effective on September 17, 2021.
Mr. Panom Kuansataporn, Chairman Executive Committee of AGE, stated that the addition to FTSE SET Index will give AGE the attractiveness and confidence for both domestic and international investors as the FTSE Russell is a globally trusted organization.
