BGRIM Commences Its First Day of 25 Years 133MW Electrical Supply to EGAT
As expected from BGRIM to deliver the electricity as scheduled in PPA, while being to cover the cost within the budget. The 133MW electricity commercial operation to EGAT has commenced today.
B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and its shareholders that Amata B.Grimm Power (Rayong) 5, (“ABPR 5” or “Project”), a subsidiary of BGRIM, commenced its commercial operation to supply electricity to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (“EGAT”) on October 1, 2018.
ABPR 5 – a combined cycle cogeneration power plant project located in Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand – has an installed capacity of 133MW and sells electricity to EGAT under a 25-year power purchase agreement (“PPA”). The Project was able to achieve commercial operation in time as scheduled in PPA, and the construction cost is in line with the budget approved by the lenders.
ABPR 5 is the third gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration power plant of BGRIM from a total of three projects that have scheduled COD in 2018 with a combined installed capacity of 399MW. ABPR 5 is the fifth gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration power plant in Amata City (Rayong) Industrial Estate.
