DTAC is Eager to Bid for 900 MHz, First to Take the Document from NBTC
Today, October 1, 2018, NBTC allows bidders to receive the bidding document for the auction of 900MHz spectrum license, and DTAC has showed up to be the first one to received the document.
It is the first day of receiving bidding documents for the auction of 900MHz spectrum license from The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), and Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC), showed its enthusiasm, came in to take the first bidding document.
The bidding documents can be received until October 8, 2018, and allowing to submit the documents from October 9, 2018 to October 16, 2018.
DTAC’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Business Development Officer Mr. Rajiv Bawa said, “When considering a 37.99 billion baht investment, there are processes any listed company must follow to ensure all stakeholders’ rights are protected. DTAC is, therefore, very thankful for the NBTC’s flexibility on the submission timeline until October 16th. This will ensure sufficient time for DTAC to properly complete our overall process and governance procedures.”
Mr. Narupon Rattanasamaharn, Senior Vice President, Head of Regulatory Division of DTAC, also said that DTAC will now conduct a feasibility study of the criteria and procedure for the license and will submit it to both investment and full board meetings to make a decision on the auction.
