Mr. Surapol Kunanantakul, director of Siam Steel International Public Company Limited (SIAM), said that the 18MW Miyagi Solar Project in Japan construction has been completed and will be able to start its COD on November 1, 2018.

The project will feed electricity to Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. for 20 years starting from the COD, using Feed-in-Tariff (Fit) 36 yen/unit for payment. SIAM had signed for a loan from the financial institution for a total of 85% of project value as a development fund, while another 15% will come from SIAM fund flow.

The investment in the solar power project in Japan will help increasing recurring income as well as diversification. SIAM is also looking for new investments to further the business and to create a stable and concrete growth for the company and, of course, shareholders.

Mr. Surapol affirms that Miyagi Solar Project will make a high jump for SIAM’s revenue in 2019 from a fully one-year income.
