SET Last Minute Bounces to +0.12% Before Morning Session End
Despite the tensions in Saudi Arabia, Asian stocks were able to hang on the rope.
Asian stocks were mixed in the morning session on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 amid tensions between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia over the missing a U.S. resident, Jamal Khashoggi who works at Washington Post as a journalist.
NIKKEI bounced 0.62% after a decline of nearly 2% yesterday. KOSPI gained 0.07%.
SSEC skidded 0.19%, and HSI fell 0.07%.
SET were able to bounce back after a decline of 2% in the morning to close at 1,698.16 points, up 2 points or +0.12% with 20 billion baht in value.
As for oil price during the afternoon of Asian trade, the price continued to increase. The global benchmark Brent crude futures increased 0.38% to $81.09/bbl, while the U.S. crude futures advanced 0.15% to $71.89/bbll.
