SCC Forms 3 New Establishments to Enter Digital Retail and Solutions Businesses
SCC has established three new companies to advance in digital retail and solutions businesses of cement-building materials business.
The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCC) has announced that its Cement-Building Materials business (CBM), one of SCC’s core businesses, has undertaken the transactions to establish 3 new companies which fall under its digital retail and solutions businesses of CBM.
1) Establishment of Nexter Retail Company Limited (Nexter) as the licensing company to issue franchisee licenses for retail distribution outlets in Thailand. The registered capital is ฿61.5 million, and SCC will indirectly hold a 100% stake through its wholly owned subsidiary in CBM.
2) Establishment of Siam Smart Data Co., Ltd. (Siam Smart Data) as a holding company to invest in CBM-related joint venture in retail business related finance in Thailand. The registered capital is ฿30 million, whereby SCC will hold an indirect stake of 51%. The other 49% will be held by Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
3) Establishment of Siam Saison Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Siam Smart Data and Credit Saison Co., Ltd., a company incorporated in Japan (Credit Saison), as a financial service solutions company to leverage the capability of SCC’s contractors. The registered capital is ฿48 million, whereby Siam Smart Data will hold a direct stake of 60%. The other 40% will be held by Credit Saison.
