JASIF’s Unrealized Loss Plunges 30% of Profit in 3Q18 to ฿1 Billion
JASIF faced a loss of profit in 3Q18 mainly from the revalued of its investment in the Optical Fiber Cables.
Jasmine Broadband Internet Infrastructure Fund (JASIF) has reported its 3Q18 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
JASIF’s net investment income in Q3/18 was ฿1,358.37 mn, increased 0.34% YoY and decreased 0.12% QoQ, mainly from rental income from Optical Fiber Cables ฿1,453.61 million.
However, JASIF faced a huge loss mainly from the fund engaged an independent appraiser to appraise the fair value of the investments in the Optical Fiber Cables. The Fund revalued such investments to be the new fair value of ฿57,400 million, resulting in the net unrealized loss from investments ฿300 million
