Democrats Will Take Power in the House, Fending Further Trump’s Policy

As the ballots still being counted, it can be said that Democrats will take the House of Representatives, while Republicans will hold its Senate.

Democrats have flipped 25 seats from Republicans in the House so far, which is more than the minimum at 23 seats that they need in order to take control of the House. Democrats are leading Republicans in the House 193:177 with 65 races left.

This will allow Democrat to launch investigations on Trump’s finances, Russian interference, administration ethics scandals, and so much more, as well as halting the conservative legislative agenda in its tracks. They could even demand a probe on Trump’s long-concealed tax returns. The healthcare will likely return, and the wall will be gone.

Meanwhile, Republicans have flipped three seats that used to be Democrat in the Senate to hold the majority at 51:42 with seven races to go.

The arrival of Democrats in the House could have given the opportunity to Trump to prove to 2020 voters that he can work with Democrats in certain ways. This is what Bill Clinton had done to build a more popular image with the American people in the face of a hostile Congress.
