Thailand GDP Shows 3.3% of Growth in 3Q18, Lower than Expected!
Due to lower demand from the international market, Thailand GDP in 3Q18 is able to expand by 3.3%
Office of the National Economics and Social Development Board (NESDB) has announced Thailand GDP for the third quarter of 2018, revealing that the GDP grows 3.3%, lower than the estimation, whereas Thailand’s GDP jumped 4.6% in the previous quarter. The decrease is due to lower demand from the international market, while the domestic demand has been increasing constantly.
NESDB also lowers an estimation of Thailand 2018 GDP from 4.2-4.7% to 4.2% instead. Exports have been reevaluated at 7.2% from 10%, while imports aim to increase to 16.2% instead of 15.4% as the previous estimation.
