SET closed at 1,548.37 points, skidded 8.56 points or 0.55% with ฿49.5 billion in value. The index edged higher in the morning session and also for a period of time in the afternoon session before started plunging as European markets opened lower and Dow Jones Future also fell more than 400 points.
