GULF Welcomes the New Year with a COD of 127MW “GNLL2” to EGAT!

Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has notified that Gulf NLL2 Company Limited (GNLL2), a subsidiary of GULF and the operator of Gulf NLL2 power project, has commenced the sale of electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on January 1, 2019 under the Small Power Producer (SPP) program.

 

The Gulf NLL2 power project is located adjacent to the Gulf NLL power project in the WHA Rayong Industrial Land, Rayong province, with an installed power generation capacity of 126.9 MW and an installed steam generation capacity of 10.0 tons per hour. GNLL2 will supply a contracted power generation capacity of 90.0 MW to EGAT pursuant to a 25-year power purchase agreement and will supply the remaining power and steam generation capacity to industrial users through secured long-term contracts.

The Gulf NLL2 power project is the ninth gas-fired SPP completed under Gulf MP Company Limited (GMP), which will develop a total of 12 power projects with a combined installed power generation capacity of 1,563.4 MW and a combined installed steam generation capacity of 225.0 tons per hour. The remaining three SPPs are currently under construction and are expected to successively begin commercial operations as scheduled between March and July 2019.
