DTC Takes 70% of “Epicure Catering” to Strengthen Its International F&B Business
DTC acquires 70% of Epicure Catering Co., Ltd (ECC) with an investment of ฿613 million to strengthen its food and beverage catering business in international schools in SEA.
Dusit Thani Public Company Limited (DTC) has reported the investment in Epicure Catering Co., Ltd (ECC) which engages in the food and beverage catering business. At present, ECC provides its service to international schools in various countries in the Southeast Asia region, namely Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
In this regard, Dusit Foods Co., Ltd (Dusit Foods), a subsidiary in which DTC holds 99.7% of stake, has executed a share purchase agreement on 22 January 2019 with the seller to acquire 70% of ECC’s shares.
The investment will be split into two lots. In the first lot, Dusit Foods will acquire 51% of shares in ECC, which is expected to occur within January 2019. The investment value for the first lot is approximately ฿423 million. In the second lot, Dusit Foods will acquire 19% of shares in ECC, which will be done in the beginning of 2020. The total investment value for the two lots totaling 70% of shares in ECC or approximately ฿613 million.
The investment in ECC is in line with the growth strategy of DTC which aims to seek new business opportunities in order to enhance the full potential of DTC and the group’s provision of services.
