ThaiBev Completes the Takeover of ‘Vietnam F&B,’ Acquiring 99% in Consultancy Firm
Thai Beverage has acquired an additional 50% of Vietnam F&B's shares with an investment of 460 million baht.
Following Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev)’s acquisition of 49% in Vietnam F&B Alliance Investment Joint Stock Company (Vietnam F&B) in 2017, later today, a source familiar to the matter reports that ThaiBev has signed an agreement with Vietnam F&B to acquire another 50% of the share to make up for a total of 99% stake holding by ThaiBev.
The company states that the acquisition was made by a purchasing of shares from unrelated third parties at 10,000 VND per share, totaling 340.8 billion VND or approximately 460 million baht.
ThaiBev is Thailand’s largest and one of Southeast Asia’s largest beverage companies, with distilleries in Thailand, Scotland, and China. The company is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). Its business consists of four segments – spirits, beer, non-alcoholic beverage, and food.
Mr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, a Thai billionaire businessman, is is founder of ThaiBev.
Vietnam F&B Alliance Investment Joint Stock Company engages in management consultancy and investment holding activities. The company was founded in 2017 and is based in Vietnam.
