OCEAN Books Plenty of Orders from Govt’s B20 Boosting Policy to Lower PM 2.5
OCEAN has asserted that the company received plenty of orders after the government issued a policy to boost B20 fuel usage.
Mrs. Chutchaya Traitrakulchai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ocean Commerce Public Company Limited (OCEAN), has asserted in the statement that OCEAN will be benefited from the B20 fuel policy, boosted by the government as a solution to lower the PM 2.5 by approximately 10-15% compared to diesel.
B20 Biodiesel is a blend of palm methyl ester and petroleum diesel. Although biodiesel can be used at any mixture, including 100% biodiesel, the B20 mixture is considered a typical blend for normal use in conventional diesel engines.
After the policy came into action, the company had been receiving more orders since the middle of January. Currently, OCEAN has its stock readied to ship to any customers according to their orders, while the number of new customers had also increasing constantly.
In the meantime, Thai farmers will receive more income from growing and selling palms, while the government continues to boost the B20 fuel policy.
Mrs. Chutchaya Traitrakulchai also mentioned that OCEAN is considering to advance into petrochemical business as OCEAN is a proficient company in this field, while having professional resources to do so. If the study shows that the advancement is worth the investment, OCEAN will be ready to enter.
Moreover, Capital Asia Investments PTE LTD (CAI), a Singapore fund management focusing in energy and petrol business, had been reportedly made an investment in OCEAN as well. The investment can be seen as a positive sentiment, reflecting confidence in OCEAN’s business.
