MPC Votes 4:2 to Maintain Policy Rate at 1.75%!!

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, the Monetary Policy Committee has voted 4:2 to maintain the policy rate at 1.75%, signaling of low inflation rate while there are no major need to stimulate Thai economy as of now.
The decision has been made after the announcement of Fed’s Chairman Jerome Powell last week saying that Fed will be patient with the interest. Meanwhile, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan said on Tuesday that patience on rates could last several months.
