NOK Aims for Route Expansions after Acquiring ฿2.3bln. from Capital Increase
NOK has acquired 2.3 billion baht from the sales of newly issued shares, aiming to use the money to develop its business structure and open more routes in Asia.
NOK Airlines Public Company Limited (NOK) has reported on the results of the sale of securities that the company offered a total of 908,799,918 shares to existing common shareholders. NOK announced a total of 836,515,960 subscribed shares, which left 72,283,958 shares unsubscribed. The net amount NOK received was 2,297,151,530.00 baht.
Mr. Pravej Ongartsittigul, Chairman of Executive Committee of NOK, states that the company will use this amount to develop its business structure and route expansions, asserting that the number of passengers in Asia is still growing when compared to other regions.
As for Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), one of NOK’s major shareholders, the company states that the proportion of shareholding in NOK has decreased from 21.80% to 15.94% due to the waiver of its right on 198,156,288 ordinary shares that NOK had offered to its shareholders.
