MTC Plunges 4%, Denying Rumors of Buying SGF’s Shares
MTC falls ฿1.75/share or 3.72% to ฿45.25/share with ฿532 million in value over the rumors of buying SGF's shares. Mr. Chuchat, chairman of the Executive Committee of MTC, denies the report.
Following the rumor of Muangthai Capital Public Company Limited (MTC) will enter into an agreement to buy SGF Capital Public Company Limited (SGF)’s shares, Mr. Chuchat Petaumpai, Chairman of the Executive Committee of MTC, asserts that the company has no intention to do so.
“Petaumpai Group does hold a portion of SGF for a long time and has been looking for the right moment to sell, certainly not buy,” said Mr. Chuchat.
Mr. Chuchat also affirms that the company’s core business still is vehicle loan the same as before.
At 11:45 MTC’s share falls ฿1.75/share or 3.72% to ฿45.25/share with ฿532 million in value. The highest is ฿47.00/share while the lowest is ฿44.50/share.
