Trade Deal is Expected to be Announced in Early May to End the 9-Month Trade War
The trade deal is expected to be announced in early May when VP Liu He visit Washington to end the nine months trade war.
The comes and goes for a trade talk between the U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and the Chinese Vice Premier Liu He seem to be something very normal these days as they take turn to visit each other every month.
On April 29, 2019, the U.S. delegates will visit Beijing for a further discussion on the trade deal, then Liu He is scheduled to visit Washington the following week. People familiar to the source mentioned that it is expected that the detail of the trade deal to be announced on this visit and the paperwork could be done by the end of May.
In early April, the U.S. President Donald Trump stated that it will take about four weeks to put together a framework for deal which he believed to be successful.
A “productive” meeting that the U.S. representatives claimed to be on each visit will finally unveil itself on how “productive” it actually is in this upcoming month. There are still plenty of matters remained to be clarified, such as agricultural deal, intellectual property, tech theft, tariffs, etc.
The nine-month trade war will come to an end soon, but how it will end still remains unclear.
