BEM Posts 16.7% Increase of Profit in 1Q19 to THB 860 million.
Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) has reported its 1Q19 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
In the first quarter of the year 2019, BEM had the net profit in the amount of THB 859 million representing an increase from the same quarter of the previous year by THB 123 million or 16.7%. BEM had total revenue of THB 4,125 million representing an increase from the same quarter of the previous year by THB 66 million or 1.6% from all 3 main businesses but mainly from the Si Rat-Outer Ring Road Expressway (SOE) and farebox revenue of the MRT Blue Line.
Cost of service amounted to THB 2,451 million representing an increase from the same quarter of the previous year by THB 89 million or 3.8% mainly from the increase in operating expense and amortization. Selling and administrative expenses amounted to THB 312 million representing an increase by THB 16 million or 5.4%.
