Democrat’s “Chuan” Has Been Officially Selected as the Speaker of the Lower House
In the voting to select the speaker of the House of Representative on May 25, the Democrat's Chuan has been selected as the speaker.
Today, May 25, 2019, in the selection of the speaker of the House of Representative the Democrat Party has submitted Mr. Chuan Leekpai be the candidate while the Pheu Thai Party submitted Mr. Sompong Amornvivat.
Out of 494 MPs which represent 494 voting rights, 258 MPs voted for Chuan and 235 MPs voted for Sompong and 1 no vote.
It is now official that the Democrat’s Chuan has been selected as the speaker of the House of Representative.
