Trick or Treat for Halloween Brexit

As expected, the new leader of the Conservative and new prime minister of the UK is Boris Johnson. Now, the next question is will Johnson make good on his word.

BBC news, has reported that the new leader of the Conservative Party, and new Prime Minister of the UK is, deal or no deal Brexit comes this Halloween, Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson has made it clear during his debate with his rival, Jeremy Hunt, that Brexit will happen before the deadline on October 31st.

While many on the pro Brexit spectrum are not so keen for Britain leaving the EU without any deal and go Hard Brexit, the other side of the spectrum are surely grinding their axes for their chance to chop up Johnson and his supporters for everything that will go wrong.

One of the most pressing issues will be the Irish border Backstop, which at present seems to have no real measures in place for handling. The sensitive situation on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland, where violence during the Northern Ireland conflict aka “The Troubles”, is stirred due to fears of possible physical check points conjuring up bitterness, and trigger new conflicts.

Looks like the UK might be in for a whole new meaning of “Trick or Treat” this Halloween.
