ORI Rebounds 6% After “Peerapong” Asserts a Baseless Rumor and Insists on Strong Business

As of 10.15 Local time in Thailand, the share price of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI) was ฿8.65/share, increased 0.50 or 6.13%.  During the session, the highest of ORI’s share was ฿8.85/share and the lowest was฿8.15/share with a trading value of THB 278 million. ORI’s share price has rebound in today’s session. due to a rumor of a capital increase plan.

On the 31 July 2019, ORI’s share price sharply fell by฿1.25 or 13.30% to ฿8.15/share with a trading value of ฿926 million, posting the biggest decline since October 2015 with a trading volume of 6.4x over 3 months daily average. The decline was due to a rumor of a capital increase plan, causing an alarm in the trading room.

Later in the evening of 31 July 2019, Mr. Peerapong Jaroon-Ek, Chief Executive Officer of ORI, has asserted that the rumor of capital increase was baseless and also insisted that ORI’s business was still normal and “very strong.”
