Dow Future Edges Higher Near 1% after Trump Confirms a Calling from China to Renegotiate.
In the latest development of the trade dispute between the U.S. and China, the latter has recently requested for a negotiation, asserted by Vice Premier Liu He, saying that no one would be benefited from the escalation of trade war.
In a short while after the report from China, it has been reported that the U.S. President Donald Trump had confirmed that China contacted overnight, saying that they want to renegotiate on the trade deal with the U.S.
However, Asia markets are unable to bounce back, Nikkei closed with a decline of 2.17% while SSEC closed -1.17%, HSI -1.84%, Kospi closed -1.64% while SET Index as of 15:25 is facing a huge plummet of -24.16 points or 1.47%, bouncing back from a plummet of 37 points.
On the other hand, European markets had already digested the news before the open session, DAX decreased 0.21%, FTSE fell 0.47%, CAC gained 0.26% STOXX 600 dipped 0.17%.
Moreover, Dow Jones Future had already gained 230.0 points or 0.90%.
