BOT Greenlights the Merging of TBANK-TMB, Giving a Deadline for Completion on 2021!

The Royal Thai Government Gazette has released an announcement from the Bank of Thailand (BOT) regarding the approval of the merging between Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited (TBANK) and TMB Bank Public Company Limited (TMB) for the stability and financial status of the institution as well as rasing the compatitiveness between financial institutions.

BOT has stated that the merging and other transactions such as assets and debts should be completed by 2021. After the completion, TBANK must return all business-related licenses to the Ministry of Finance.
