THAI’s Better Cost Management Lower Its Loss in 3Q while Reporting an Increase of Passengers.
Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has reported its 3Q19 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
THAI reported a net loss of 4,681 million baht, increased by 26.5% from a net loss of 3,700 million baht in 3Q18, but decreased from 2Q19 which recorded at 6,883 million baht due to the improvement in cost management.
THAI’s operating expenses decreased by 7.7% YoY and 3.6% QoQ. Meanwhile, Non-fuel operating expense in the third quarter of 2019 recorded at 33,507 million baht, decreased 5.4% YoY and 3.6% QoQ.
The number of passengers also increased as well. In 3Q19, THAI had 6.06 million passengers, increased from 6.01 million passengers from the same period of last year and increased from 5.72 million passengers from the previous quarter.
