Thai National Shippers’ Council Cuts Export Outlook for the 5th Time to Contract 2.5-3%.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, the Thai National Shippers’ Council has cut 2019 export outlook to fall at the range of 2.5-3%.
For the fifth time of the year, Thai export outlook has been lowered due to the prolong of trade war between the U.S. and China as well as a strong Thai baht that outperforms others in the regional market, rising 7.6% since the beginning of the year.
As for 2020, the Thai National Shippers’ Council forecasts that Thai export would have a slight growth of around 0-1%.
