End of the 700MHz and 2600MHz Bidding! NBTC Books over ฿88.6bn from 2 Spectrums!
NBTC books 51,459 million baht from the bidding for 700 MHz and 37,164 million baht from the bidding for 2600 MHz.
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) opened the bidding for the concession of 700 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 26 GHz today with five operators participating in the bidding namely; Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (ADVANC), True Corporation Public Company Limited (TRUE), Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC), CAT Telecom Public Company Limited (CAT) and TOT Public Company Limited (TOT).
The bidding for three licenses of 700 MHz was complete at a value of 17,153 million baht per license, totaling 51,459 million baht, while having ADVANC, TRUE and CAT participated in the bidding.
Later, the bidding for 19 licenses of 2600 MHz was also completed at a value of 1,956 million baht per license, totaling 37,164 million baht, while having ADVANC, TRU and CAT participated in the bidding.
The NBTC has yet to reveal which operators are the winner in the bidding for 700 MHz and 2600 MHz.
