The National Basketball Association (NBA) has suspended the entire season following a suspension in a game between Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder after one of the Jazz players tested positive for the Covid-19.
The report of Rudy Gobert, a Jazz’s player, tested positive for the virus came just before a tip-off on Wednesday night and fans were told to leave the arena and not to panic as the player who tested positive was not in the arena.
“The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice,” the league’s statement said. “The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic”.
