SET Adjusts Short-Selling Measure, Allows to Sell only at Higher than Last Trading Price
SET Adjusts Short-Selling Measure, Allows to Sell only at Higher than Last Trading Price.
Dr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), has announced that the SET will make a temporary adjustment in a short-selling measure. Sellers will be able to sell shares only if the share is higher than the last trading price from being able to sell only at a lower price, compared to the last trading price.
Dr. Pakorn expects the measurement will increase investors’ over all confidence. The new measure will be taking effect starting this afternoon until June 30, 2020. The new measure could be terminated if the market outlook is better.
