Boris Johnson Admits to the Hospital from Lingering Coronavirus Symptoms

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to the hospital under the advice of his doctor after self-isolating for more than a week due to a positive test for coronavirus.

 

The testing results came on March 27, indicating that Boris Johnson had been infected by the coronavirus after developing symptoms including a temperature and cough.

“On the advice of his doctor, the Prime Minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests,” said the Prime Minister’s Office in a statement, while indicating that the tests were a “precautionary step” due to the British PM’s lingering symptoms.

According to the local media, Johnson is expected to stay in the hospital overnight.

Moreover, Carrie Symonds, Johnson’s partner also said that she developed coronavirus’ symptoms and now is on the mend.
