SET Jumps 31pts, Following the Positive Sentiment in Regional Markets and Wall Street.
SET Index jumped 31 points or 2.59% to 1,231.26 points at the opening bell after a report of a Gilead Sciences drug showing effectiveness in treating the coronavirus.
An analyst from Tisco Securities stated that the Thai stock market made a huge jump, following the regional markets and Dow Jones Futures that pointed to a gain of over 800 points.
Meanwhile, countries are adjusting and easing their restriction on the lockdown after the outbreak started to ease, and a hospital in the U.S. also reported an effective drug for treating the virus as well.
The analyst set a support level for today’s session at 1,200-1,190 points and a resistance level at 1,220-1,225 points.
In addition, Dow Jones Futures pointed to a gain after jumping more than 860 points or 3.69% to 24,271.00 points. S&P 500 Futures gained 3.34% and Nasdaq Futures rose 2.36%.
