AOT Extends the Payment Term for Concessionaires/Airlines Affected by the Virus Outbreak

AOT has resolved to extend a credit term of payment for concessionaires and airlines affected by the COVID-19 outbreak at all six airports under AOT’s supervision.

The Board of Directors of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) has resolved to extend a 12-month credit term of payment, instead of a 6-month credit term of payment, for concessionaires and airlines affected by the COVID-19 outbreak at all six airports under AOT’s supervision.

Reference is made to the Letters of AOT, informing the assistance measures for concessionaires and airlines affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak at all six airports under AOT’s supervision. One of the measures include an extension of a 6-month credit term of payment, if requested by the concessionaires and airlines, for concession charges for each of the installments during February – December 2020, and office and state property rents, terminal and building service charges, landing and parking charges and aircraft service charges for each of the installments during April – December 2020.

The AOT Board of Directors, in the Meeting No. 8/2020 held on Wednesday, 29 July 2020 at AOT Meeting Room 1, 6th Floor, AOT Head Office Building, viewed that the concessionaires and airlines are still being affected by the severe and ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in many countries as well as governmental travel restrictions. The Board of Directors then resolved to extend a 12-month credit term of payment, instead of a 6-month credit term of payment, for concession charges, only for monthly installments during February – July 2020, and office and state property rents, terminal and building service charges, landing and parking charges, and aircraft service charges, only for monthly installments during April – July 2020, for concessionaires and airlines affected by the COVID-19 outbreak at all six airports under AOT’s supervision.

However, such assistance measures shall be applicable to the concessionaires and airlines who already submitted a letter of request for payment term extension to AOT. For those who submit it after the date of the above-mentioned AOT Board of Directors’ resolution (29 July 2020), they shall be eligible for such assistance measure, without a retroactive effect, from the installment due whereby the concessionaires or airlines submit such letter to AOT.
