JAS Lowers the Damage from Covid Crisis in 2Q while Recording Higher Operating Revenue.
Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) has reported its 2Q20 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
JAS reported a net loss of 413 million baht in 2Q20, decreased from a net profit of 2,221 million baht in 2Q19, but improved from a net loss of 990 million baht in 1Q20. EBITDA for the second quarter of the year 2020 was at 3,019 million Baht, compared to 1,950 million Baht and 3,094 million Baht in the second quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020, respectively.
Meanwhile, the company recorded a gain from foreign exchange at 193 million baht for the quarter, and a gain from interest income at the amount of 19,384 million baht, increased from a gain of 4,226 million baht in 2Q19.
Moreover, the company recorded no gain from gains on sales of investments in associates for the quarter whereas the company recorded a gain of 1,731 million baht in 2Q19.
The total operating revenue of the company for the second quarter of the year 2020 was 4,833 million Baht, increasing by 5%, compared to that of 4,589 million Baht in the second quarter of the year 2019 and by 1%, compared to that of 4,766 million Baht in the first quarter of the year 2020. Most of the total revenue was the contribution of Triple T Broadband Public Company Limited (TTTBB).
In the second quarter of the year 2020, Triple T Broadband Public Company Limited (3BB) had 111,733 net additional subscribers, resulting in its record of 3.35 million of the total subscribers at the end of the second quarter of the year 2020.
