CCSA Approves ฿3,000 Aid to 15 Million Individuals, Tops Up Benefits for Domestic Travellers.
The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) of Thailand approved the resolution to introduce a financial aid of 3,000 baht to stimulate consumer spending possibly by October, proposed by the Ministry of Finance.
Through registration for the aid package, Thai nationality and an age above 18 are required, in which 15 million individuals are qualified for the aid. Meanwhile, the government would support over 80,000 small entrepreneurs and vendors through the state’s electronic application.
The CCSA also approved the resolution to stimulate tourism under the “We Travel Together” project through two methods.
1) Adds three more benefits for participants, which includes 1.1) 40% discount over 10 nights/person, 1.2) Food coupon worth 900 baht, and 1.3) Air ticket cashback of 2,000 baht per seat.
2) Allows an extra two day off for state officials and employees on working days to boost domestic travel between weekdays.
