RATCH-GULF Announce a Certified EIA and Sign the EPC Contract for 1,400MW Hin Kong Project!
RATCH Group Public Company Limited (RATCH) and Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) announced that the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) has approved the Environment Impact Assessment on their 1,400MW Hin Kong combined-cycle power plant project.
RATCH and GULF had made a joint investment in Hin Kong Power Holding Company Limited (HKH) at the proportion of 51 and 49 percent, respectively. HKH also held full stake in Hin Kong Power Company Limited (HKP), which is a company established to develop the 1,400 MW Hin Kong Combined-Cycle Power Project (Hin Kong Power Project) located in Hin Kong Sub-District, Muang District, Ratchaburi Province.
HKP had already signed the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) with the scheduled Commercial Operation Date in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
RATCH and GULF both announced that the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) has approved the Environment Impact Assessment on their Hin Kong Power Project, and on 29 September 2020, they entered into the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract with the group of MHI Power Project (Thailand) Company Limited, Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited (STEC) and Mitsubishi Power Limited. Furthermore, they also entered the Long Term Program Service Agreement (LTSA) with the group of MHI Power Project (Thailand) Company Limited for 25 years.
