Doctors Treat Trump with Drugs for Severe Covid-19 Cases, Biden Tests Negative.
The U.S. President Donald Trump has been treating a steroid, which was used for critically ill patients, said Trump’s doctors.
The doctors began treating Trump with dexamethasone, a steroid that has shown promise for critically ill patients, but may cause side effects or harm to those with less severe Covid-19 symptoms, said the doctors.
The revelation raised concerns about the president’s health and the uncertainties of the presidential election in November amid the virus outbreak that responded for more than 200,000 deaths of Americans.
Trump was transferred to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday after he was given an antiviral drug remdesivir.
New York Times reported that several days prior to last Friday, when Trump tested positive for the virus, the president was attending several large gatherings and seven people who attended one of the gatherings tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Trump’s Democratic challenger and a former Vice President Joe Biden, tested negative for the coronavirus.
