The Court Bestows Protective Orders to BTSC for the “MRT Orange Line” Bidding

The Court Bestows Protective Orders to BTSC for the “MRT Orange Line” Bidding.

The Administrative Court on October 20, 2020, ordered the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) to determine the bidding for the MRT Orange Line Project “Bang Khun Non – Min Buri (Suwinthawong)” based on the previous terms and conditions.

In this regard, the bidding will be determined on the financial results of the bidder, unlike the proposal from MRTA to use an additional determination of 30% from technical results and 70% from financial results that BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited (BTS) would not agree upon.

The Court order came after The Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTSC) filed a petition to the court to oppose MRTA’s bidding conditions.

The source closed to the matter reported that MRTA will hold its Board of Directors meeting tomorrow and that the department has 30 days to file a petition or the proposal submission will be held on November 9 as scheduled.
