SET Faces a Wild Afternoon Session after Investors Weigh on Political Gatherings.
SET Index was fluctuating in the afternoon session on Wednesday as investors weighed on the political gatherings that vowed to move to the Siam Cement Group Public Company Limited (SCC)’s headquarter.
The Thai stock market dropped 1.77 points or 0.13% as of 14:35 on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, after closing nearly 6 points higher in the morning session, then shot up to a gain of 5 points to 1,406.77 points within a few minutes afterward.
The market still has strong fund inflow coming in, but the weight of political uncertainties suppresses the market’s upside.
Pro-democratic protesters switched from a gathering at The Crown Property Bureau to gather at the Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited (SCB)’s headquarter in the morning and expected to move to SCC’s headquarter afterward to pressure the Thai PM to resign and monarchy reform.
The major shareholder of SCB and SCC is His Majesty King Rama X.
