SET Index closed the morning session at 1,434.02 points, increased 18 points or 1.27% after CCSA affirmed of no full-scale lockdown, while imposing restriction on certain areas, depending on the severity of the resurgence of coronavirus in the area.
The meeting of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Thursday resolved that there will be no whole-country lockdown after Thailand has been reporting an increase in coronavirus cases since Monday. The restriction will be imposed depending on the severity of the resurgence of coronavirus in certain areas.
The Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha eased Thais’ concerns of the resurgence, saying that the Thai economy must continue to move forward.
