SET’s President Finds No Irregularity in DELTA’s Movement after a 1,400% Surge YTD.
Mr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), stated that SET has been monitoring the movement of Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (DELTA) and found no irregularity in the trading session, while asserting that the trading was not made by one particular group of investors.
According to the monitoring by SET, Mr. Peetathawatchai stated that the share price of DELTA moved at an outstanding pace, rising from ฿50.00/share since the beginning of 2020 to over ฿800.00/share in today’s trading session could possibly be due to DELTA’s good earnings. However, its low free float caused DELTA’s share price to move quickly.
Nevertheless, Mr. Peetathawatchai added that the stock exchange will continue monitoring DELTA’s movement and will report investors immediately if there is any irregularity by putting it in a “Cash Balance” measure.
The share price of DELTA closed the morning session at ฿798.00/share, increased ฿114.00/share or 16.67% with a trading value of 9,663 million baht. The highest share price in the morning session was ฿838.00/share and the lowest was ฿700.00/share.
DELTA rose from ฿53.50/share from the year-end of 2019, representing a 1,391% surge to the closing of ฿798.00/share in the morning session on Monday.
