BANPU Drops 9.6% as Analysts Warn Investors to Trade Cautiously due to Lower Coal Prices

The share price of Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU) dropped ฿1.05/share or 9.63% to close the morning session at ฿9.85/share with a trading value of 2,831 million baht. BANPU’s share has been declining for two consecutive days, while the analyst stated that the decline was because of lower coal prices.

 

Asia Wealth Securities (AWS) stated that coal prices future (Newcastle) for February contract edged lower to close at 75.70 dollars per ton, decreased 2.85 dollars per ton or 3.63%.

Bualuang Securities (BLS) also warned investors to cautiously trade on BANPU, citing the decline in coal prices as well.
