Analyst Expects SET to Extend the Gain as Fund Inflow Continues to Buoy Stock Markets.
Tisco Securities expected the Thai stock market to edge higher in today’s session due to the increase in oil prices, while the fund inflow is expected to continue to support the market as foreign investors bet bought 4.5 billion baht of Thai shares last Friday.
In the meantime, the analyst warned investors to watch out for the volatility in the market, caused by DELTA. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) planned to implement a new measure to handle low free-float shares, which could lead to a tight valuation in the market. Thus, the analyst advised preparing for a profit-taking session as well, giving a support level at 1,520-1,525 points and a resistance level at 1,560-1,565 points.
Stocks in Asia mixed in the morning session on Monday. As of 9:30 local time in Thailand, Nikkei rose 2.36%, SSEC gained 0.39% and HSI increased 0.38%, ASX200 dropped 0.69% and KOSPI fell 0.47%.
