CK Expects 2021 Earnings at ฿20Bn, Eyeing for ฿200Bn Worth of Projects from the Government Sector.
Karnchang Public Company Limited (CK) estimated its 2021 revenue to be close to the earnings in 2020, which is expected to be around 20 billion baht due to its backlog around 25 billion baht at the end of 2020, stated the source in CK.
The company expected the government sector will have more than 200 billion baht worth of projects up for bidding this year, such as, the MRT Purple Line Tao Poon – Rat Burana worth 100 billion baht that is expected to announce a TOR soon. Moreover, there are three lines of double-track railway projects worth 150 billion baht in value.
Currently, CK Power Public Company Limited (CKP) is negotiating with Laos’ government for a hydro-power plant project in Luang Prabang worth 80 billion baht. Meanwhile, the high-speed train project linking three airports (Don Mueang-Suvarnabhumi-U Tapao) that CK entered as a joint venture and acquired the project needed to wait for the work allocation to be completed.
