SCGP’s 2020 Earnings Jump 22% to ฿6.4Bn as IPC Grows, Offering a Dividend of Bt0.45

SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SGCP) has announced its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

SCGP reported a net profit of 6,457 million baht in 2020, increased 22.57% compared to a net profit of 5,268 million baht in 2019.

Total revenue from sales was 92,786 million baht, increased by 4% YoY. This was attributed to SCGP’s diversified customer portfolio that possesses resilient growth segments, including consumer products, food and beverages, personal hygiene care and E-commerce, along with the positive synergy of operations in Thailand and Indonesia.

In 2020, Integrated Packaging Chain (IPC) revenue from sales amounted to 79,175 million baht, an increase of 10% YoY due to the business consolidation of operations in Thailand and overseas and on the back of resilient demand in consumer products amid economic softness. Similarly, EBITDA was 15,789 million baht, increased 14% YoY while retaining EBITDA margin of 20%. Net profit for IPC also increased 17% YoY to 7,200 million baht as a result of SGCP comprehensive packaging solutions strategy to serve both large local companies and multinational companies in various industries and competitive advantage in value chain integration.

 

In consideration of the 2020 financial performance, the Board of Directors has proposed for shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), a full year 2020 annual dividend payment of 0.45 baht per share, with a payment date of 22 April 2021, record date of 8 April 2021, and XD-date of 7 April 2021.
