Thailand Reopens Businesses and Schools, Bars and Gambling Places Remain Close.
Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) approved the easing of restrictions across the country to allow businesses, including restaurants, and schools to resume operations after the new wave of coronavirus started to suppress in most regions.
Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha as a chairman of the meeting gave a nod on a proposal to lower the number of provinces categorized as high-risk areas from 28 to 5, while allowing the schools in nearly all districts to resume the opening.
However, high-risk establishments like bars and gambling venues will remain closed. Restrictions in Samut Sakhon will remain as the province continues to report hundreds of cases in the past few days.
