SET Surges above 1,500pts in Anticipation of Covid-19 Vaccine Rollout in Thailand

SET Index continued the positive momentum in the afternoon session to break the resistance level of 1,500 points  in hopes of vaccine rollout in Thailand.

 

At the open of the afternoon session, SET Index rose 22.13 points or 1.50% to 1,500.27 points, breaking the resistance level of 1,490 points and 1,500 points given by analysts amid rising hope of the Sinovac coronavirus vaccine that is expected to arrive in Thailand tomorrow.

Analysts expected SET Index to rebase around 1,500 points in anticipation of corporate earnings seasons after already pricing-in vaccine sentiment in the morning session, while monitoring the development of the vaccine rollout in Thailand.
